The Egyptian Revolution began when the people got tired of the rule of Hosni Mubarak which was filled with injustice and corruption. After 18 days of protesting to overthrow Mubarak, he stepped down and relinquishes his power to the army. Elections were held and the Muslim Brotherhood candidate, Mohamed Morsi, was elected. After passing an undemocratic constitution, the people became angry and began to rebel again. The military overthrew Morsi's regime and appointed an interim president to hold power until elections. When elections came around, the military candidate, Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, won and slowly gained more and more power.
